2022 USAging Annual Conference & Tradeshow

Dr. Stephen Goldberg, Medical Director for Engage with®, to Speak at Upcoming USAging Annual Conference on July 12th

The USAging Annual Conference and Tradeshow is the country’s largest gathering of local leaders in aging. Each year, these professionals come together with government experts, policymakers, business leaders, and other Aging Network practitioners and partners to share knowledge and new directions in the field of aging at the USAging Annual Conference and Tradeshow. In 2020 and 2021, the Conference was held virtually so we are excited to return to an in-person event in 2022! There’s so much to catch up on with old friends and new partners that we hope you will save the date and join us in Austin in July 2022!

FT34) Live, Interactive, Evidence-Based Virtual Skills Training for a Post-Pandemic World
Tuesday, July 12— 5:00PM – 5:30PM, Fast-Track Session
We are facing a crisis: a rapidly aging population with behavioral health needs that require more resources than are currently available. In addition, the existing and future workforce lacks access to the skills training necessary to work effectively with this expanding demographic, a situation made worse by the pandemic. To address this need, the Mental Health Association of Maryland converted its evidence-based Engage with™ Older Adults Skills Training Program to a live, interactive virtual skills training. The program uses a cloud-based platform to achieve a sense of immersion in the training environment without the need for high-powered technology. Learn about the Engage with Older Adults Skills Training principles, experience a live demonstration of the virtual training and hear about our three-year non-profit journey from concept to reality.
